I often joke that I should get a helmut for my 1yo daughter...she's just learning to walk and she keeps bumping her head on things. I believe these helmuts would be useful for about a month or two...but once she's on the go I doubt there would be any need for it. You can't protect them from every little bump, plus I doubt she'd want to keep it on for more than 5 seconds :P
