If you haven't seen this web site it is worth the trip and the time. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, but it's scope is much broader. The web site is a compilation of presentations by some of the most interesting people on the planet on some of the most diverse and interesting topics.
I have a link to some of the talks on child-related subjects, but when you visit this site you can get lost in the number of powerful and insightful talks available. Watch out, it is addictive!
