Olive pitting

When I am cooking with my kid I try to find ways to involve him. He likes to use tools, but some are not safe for him to try yet. One that is? My olive pitter. Sometimes we add olives to recipes that don't even call for them. I bought mine at Paderno. They are sometimes called Cherry Pitters.
